Uploading Your Data

This step is only necessary one time for your entire team when you initially get started with eSERVER.

To upload your data from your existing software onto eSERVER Agent, follow the instructions below. 
 
First, you need to perform a backup of your data on your local copy of the software so that you have all of the data ready to be uploaded to eSERVER Agent.  This is steps 1 through 5 below.
 
1. Launch the Backup Restore program of the software on your local computer.
 
2. Click on the Backup icon.

3. Click on Settings button to determine where you would like to save your backup.

4. Choose the location of where you would like the backup file to be saved to (be sure to remember this location as you are going to need it).  Then click OK.

5. Click Backup and let the program perform the backup. When completed, you can close out of the application.

Now you will need to upload your data onto eSERVER Agent.  We do this by performing a Restore of the backup you just did.  This Restore is done within the eSERVER Agent software. This is steps 6 through 9 below.

 
6. Launch the Backup Restore application on eSERVER Agent. Choose Restore

A. Find the location of your backup data.
B. Be sure to keep the destination of Data Files and Graphic Files both as the Y: drive.
c. Be sure to uncheck the Restore INI Files box (It should NOT be checked)
D. Then click OK

9. Click Restore to restore your data onto eSERVER Agent

When the Restore is finished, close out of the application

You have completed the necessary steps to initially get your team up and running on eSERVER.
